Are you a seasoned leader in Ministry who enjoys working with a wide variety of people and thrives in a fast-paced environment? Do you have the gifts of leadership and encouragement? Southland is looking for a full-time Campus Pastor to serve at our Lexington campus. The Campus Pastor will lead the local campus, Church, and staff toward health, growth, and engagement in unleashing a revolution of love for Jesus in Lexington, Kentucky.  If you love Jesus, love this community, are highly organized, great at multi-tasking, and hope to work with an awesome team, keep reading!

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  1. Carry and cast Southland’s vision to local congregation.

  2. Move campus attenders toward engagement.

  3. Champion and be accountable for all growth metrics in partnership with associated Division Leaders.

    4. Baptism

    5. Volunteers

    6. Community transformation

  4. Lead campus staff to develop leaders and volunteers.

  5. Champion and maintain alignment of Southland’s mission, vision, expressions, culture, strategies, operating procedures and policies with the local campus and staff.

  6. Be the carrier of Southland’s DNA maintaining quality of program, building, environments, etc.

  7. Function as campus quality manager taking responsibility for environment look & feel.  

  8. Be a visible presence at weekend services as well as in the community.

    1. Host service as needed, be available, Connection Point, community events.

  9. Represent campus culture back to Leadership.

    1. Provide input to Ministry Teams to add campus-specific flavor when appropriate.

    2. Represent and cultivate campus culture to contribute to the development of best practices with other Campus Pastors in CP team meetings. 

  10. Consistently collaborate and communicate with Central Support on behalf of the local campus.

  11. Consistently collaborate and communicate with the local campus on behalf of Central Support.

  12. Champion healthy stewardship and engage key givers at the local level.

  13. Serve as a member of the Leadership Team of Southland, representing the local campus in the regular functions of that team.

  14. Attend all staff meetings and represent the local campus to the staff.

Work Schedule:

40 hours a week Sunday - Thursday;  Regular weekend and evening responsibilities
