The IT Team supports ministry teams to ensure they have all the tools and infrastructure needed for day-to-day operations.  We are looking for a full-time Systems Administrator who is a person of high integrity and is passionate about integrating staff and IT systems to help us reach our goals at all campuses.  This person will also work with the team to implement and carry out maintenance of network and computer systems at Southland.  IT supports ministry teams to ensure they have all the tools and infrastructure needed for day-to-day operations. We extend tons of grace, but take our jobs seriously!  

Key responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrated macOS power user

  • Apple business programs including DEP and VPP

  • Monitor and patch virtualization clusters and guest VMs

  • Maintain mobile device management platform for macOS, iOS and tvOS

  • Monitor health of backup and replication infrastructure

  • Assign VoIP telephone extensions, handsets, and voicemail

  • Leverage scripting to automate software, policies, and configuration profiles

  • Working knowledge of Ethernet networking (IP addressing, basic routing and switching, wireless LAN)

  • Maintain conference rooms and video conferencing equipment

  • Respond to network monitoring system alerts for system outages

  • Basic computer hardware repair (replacing hard drives, memory, etc.)

  • Remote tools including SSH, VNC, RDP, and Telnet

  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

A candidate with experience in the following would be ideal:

  • Jamf Pro, JCT certification preferred

  • Shoretel Director and voice switches

  • Veeam Backup and Replication

  • Google G-Suite family of products

  • CCNA or equivalent understanding of Ethernet networking (VLANs, VPN, packet tracing)

  • Experience with Cisco Meraki or other cloud networking provider

  • Data driven website hosting including SQL, mySQL, IIS, PHP, and Apache

  • Maintain SSL certificates and domain registrations

  • Experience with Cisco Hyperflex and Dell PowerEdge/Equallogic

  • Digital audio/video routing and switching

This position will primarily work at the Nicholasville campus during regular operating hours with occasional night and weekend responsibilities.
