Description
Are you a person who desires to serve God in your work, who loves kids, and who has a knack for details and planning?  The Children's Ministry team is looking for a part-time Volunteer Coordinator who will be responsible for coordinating large group leaders and assisting with administrative details.

Primary responsibilities include:

1.  Coordinate Large Group Programming Volunteers

  • Manage schedule for large group volunteers including storytellers, worship leaders, a/v techs and security leaders.

  • Communicate weekly with large group volunteers to make sure they have curriculum, songs and all information and resources needed for the weekend.  

  • Assist with recruiting and scheduling subs as needed.  

  • Assist with recruiting new large group volunteers as opportunities become available.

  • Provide appropriate training to all large group volunteers, including all safety and emergency procedures.

  • Encourage and appreciate large group leaders throughout the year.

2.  Manage Administrative Details for Children’s Special Events

  • Manage the calendar for all Children’s Special Events at Nicholasville campus, including KidSplash, Rooted, family events, Leader appreciation and recruiting event , working with Children’s team to schedule events and reserve rooms.

  • Manage administrative details for each event, working with Children’s Central team to order supplies, props and promotional materials.  

  • Assist with prep and serving at special events.  

3.  Follow Up from Sunday Environments

  • Follow up leaders and any weekend feedback.  

4. Serve on Nicholasville Campus Children’s Team.

  • Work with Nicholasville Children’s Leader and Children’s Team on overall campus issues and strategy.

  • Work with the Nicholasville Children’s Leader to maintain campus-wide alignment on vision, programming and procedures.  

  • Support the Children’s teams on other campuses as needed.  

5. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Work schedule: 30 hours a week (week day hours)
