Are you an experienced leader in Children's Ministry? Do you have a passion for bringing the bible to life for kids? Our Children's Ministry Team is looking for a full-time Children's Pastor to serve at our Richmond campus. The Children's Pastor will oversee a team of people to execute weekend services for Pre-School - 5th grade age groups with a high degree of excellence. This person will work closely and collarborate with the current Children's Ministry Team to ensure the program translates effectively at the Richmond Campus. A candidate to consider will be one who is extremely organized, an effective communicator, experienced leader, efficient, and visionary.

Primary Responsibilities:

1.  Provide leadership to the Children’s team at the Richmond campus.  

  • Lead team, coaching and investing in team members on a regular basis.

  • Work with Richmond Children’s team to build healthy teams to oversee all ministry activities for the Richmond campus including weekend programming and special events, such as KidSplash, and other programming as needed.

  • Oversee the Richmond Children’s Ministry campus budget and monitor expenses.

  • Work with the Lead Campus Pastor and Lead Children’s Pastor to maintain campus-wide alignment on vision, programming and procedures.  

  • Cast vision to families of how the church seeks to support and partner with parents.

2. Recruit, train and encourage leaders.

  • Champion a vibrant, healthy leader culture for Children’s teams at the Richmond campus.

  • Recruit leaders for all Children's environments at the Richmond campus.

  • Work with the team to ensure that all leaders have completed the application, interview and screening process before serving with children.

  • Work with team to provide appropriate training to all Children's Ministry leaders, including all safety and emergency procedures.

  • Encourage and appreciate leaders throughout the year.

3.  Oversee Children's Ministry environments

  • Work with staff and leaders to ensure that all Richmond Children's Ministry environments are executed with a high degree of safety, excellence and fun.

  • Ensure that all Richmond Children's Ministry environments have appropriate volunteer coverage.

  • Work with the Children’s Central Support Team to receive weekend supplies and tech content for Sunday environments and work with Richmond Children's team to purchase and prepare any additional supplies needed (activity stations, check-in/check-out supplies, etc.)

  • Work with the Richmond Children's team to ensure that leaders are following safety procedures.

  • Continually evaluate facility needs for Children's Ministry.

  • Serve on the Richmond campus team, supporting the Campus Pastor and various departments as needed.

4. Work with the Lead Children’s Pastor and Children’s Pastors from other campuses to tackle cross-campus strategy, leadership issues and other Children's Ministry needs as they arise.  

5. Perform other related duties as assigned.
