Here at Southland, we are committed to "radically investing in the next generation".  The Student Ministry Team is looking for a full-time Student Ministry Pastor to lead and invest in the Middle and High School students at Southland at our Richmond Campus.  This person will be responsible for pastoring students and leading the large group experiences.

Purpose Statement:

Lead an engaging ministry designed to help students live With Jesus, In Community and On Mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide oversight, vision and direction for student ministry at our Richmond Campus.

  2. Lead and direct to ensure development of our small group leaders and an excellent small group experience for our Student students.

  3. Lead Student Ministry at our Richmond Campus through these four areas and beyond.

    1. Large Groups: Contextualize our programming, through speaking, creativity and fun, to bring it to life for students attending our Richmond campus.

    2. Small Groups: Help students get and stay connected to Small Groups.

    3. Leaders: Lead out in developing the strategy that helps to maintain healthy volunteer leaders who support the ministry.

    4. Parents: Help to develop a healthy ministry to parents which communicates clearly to them, and provides support when they need.

  4. Help the team shape direction and vision for engagement in Student ministry.

  5. Work with Student Ministries team to coordinate events and trips.

  6. Work with Student Ministries team to execute ministry programs.

  7. Work with Richmond Campus team to coordinate campus specific events.

  8. Help provide pastoral care to students, leaders and families.

  9. Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Work Schedule:
40 Hours Weekly. Monday-Friday.
Wednesday evening for Program.
Occasional nights and weekends.
