Description
Do you have the giftings of leadership and encouragement?  Are you highly organized and enjoy taking the "big picture" and bringing it to life? At Southland we strive to "generously extend hope to the poor" and are looking for a Serve The City Leader who will embody this expression and move as the Lord leads!  

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Coordinate Serve the City neighborhoods in alignment with the Outreach Strategy of Southland.

  • Develop multi site strategy and alignment for all Serve the City neighborhoods.

  • Oversee part-time outreach coordinators and their development.

  • Manage database and maintenance of volunteer applications for Serve the City.

  • Manage the training, scheduling, and resources related to Serve the City (Handbooks, Safety etc).

  • Develop and coordinate special events for part time coordinators to execute.

  • Seek out and develop relationships with community churches, organizations and agencies that provide outreach to specific neighborhood communities.

  • Work with Schools Leader and Helping Through Him director to maintain alignment and resources for STC neighborhoods

  • Oversee neighborhood ministry budgets.

  • Identify areas to encourage collaboration between ministry areas (i.e. High School Ministry, 608, Southland Groups, etc)

  • Provide direction and insight as Outreach central support to all of Southland’s campuses.

  • Work with volunteer leaders on ministry development, strategy, recruitment and communications.

  • Other responsibilities assigned by supervisor.
The schedule for this position is 40 hours/week Monday-Friday with infrequent nights and weekends.
